First Paris adventure: Calling the family.

My family (the Endelichers) hadn't e-mailed me back and I was beginning to panic because I needed to find out how I'm suppose to get to their house. So I got up extra early this morning (around 10 am haha) and I CALLED them. Yea, on the phone.

So I learned today that I can't speak French over the phone...and they can't speak much English...Oh well we'll figure it out I'm sure - or it may just be a few quiet months for me!! haha (yea right!)

When they first answered I hadn't thought of what to say and it only rang like once! So it was like speaking English and BAM speak French! Well when I said I was Katie the student from KU I heard the mom, I assume, squeal with joy! This is very promising that they actually want me to come live with them haha! I spoke with Louis, the 14 year old son, first but he really just answered the phone. Then we played a game of pass the phone between Fleur, the daughter who is 19 and speaks some English, and Marie-Christine, the mom, who speaks very fast French!
Well 10 minutes later I got from the conversation that another student from Yale is living in my same building. Also they assured me that speaking over the phone is much more difficult than speaking in person. They also said they received my e-mail and thought I spoke French very well! I think I write it better than I speak though and I hope they aren't going to think I'm a complete idiot!! They will be sending me an e-mail tonight.
This trip is starting to finally feel real! I'm soooo excited!!
